We use the Fellowship One Check-in System which will print a label for each child with a number that matches a label we give parents. Children will only be released to an adult who has the corresponding security ticket to the child’s tag. Other children and teens (including siblings) may not pick up a child from the classroom, even with the security label. Safety is important to us. We do a background check on all our volunteers and we have a system to make sure that we only have safe people with your children and that we only give kids to their parents.
Nursery: 0-24 months
Infants and toddlers, birth through 24 months, are cared for during all service times by competent, trained staff and volunteers in our nursery area. To provide the consistency this age-group needs, on Sunday mornings you will see the same Lead Teachers ministering to the children during each of the two service times, 9:15 and 11:00. Regular workers and carefully selected volunteers also serve in this room to keep the ratio of adult-to-children at 1:2.
(Children are separated into two areas based on their ability to walk.)
Preschool: 2-5 Years Old
In our Sunday preschool ministry, we want your kids to learn that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever. Children ages 2-5 worship God and learn about the Bible in small groups during the 9:15 and 11:00 services. We utilize fun crafts, activities, songs, videos, and games to support our memorable themes, verses and Bible stories. This age group is ministered to by consistent Lead Teachers in each service and class, supported by a rotation of volunteer classroom assistants to keep the adult-to-child ratios very low.
Children in kindergarten and first grade attend a full-length class during the service with an engaging Bible story, fun activities, crafts, and an age-targeted worship experience guided by their weekly lead teacher.
Children in 2nd-5th grades check-in before church starts in Splashtown and immediately attend worship with their parents in the main auditorium. At the end of worship, they are released to the lobby to be taken to their grade-level classes by their lead teachers (2nd-3rd grades and 4th-5th grades.) For the remainder of the service they are guided through an engaging Bible story, with fun activities, cool videos, and interactive games with peers.
